The Controls subgroup, with a good 2,600 employees in the German headquarters Wangen and Nuremberg and the subsidiaries in Namyslow and Wroclaw/Poland, Nanjing and Quindao/China, Naperville/USA and Queretaro/Mexico strive to develop and manufacture products of the highest quality and energy efficiency.
Outstanding engineering competence and a worldwide production volume of more than 80,000 electronic systems a day form the basis required for meeting this self-imposed standard. In all subsidiaries, consequent environmental and process management assures the best possible balance between industrial manufacturing and a sustainable treatment of nature and environment.
The international enterprise focuses on two different fields.
As a supplier for the international household appliance industry, the Appliance department develops and manufactures electronic units and system components, from individual solutions to mass-produced control units, under the brand name Diehl AKO®. The products are mainly used for washing machines, laundry dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers and cookers. The enterprise supplies the world’s most renowned manufacturers of household appliances, applying state of the art just-in-time processes and keeping distances as short as possible.
Based on the latest converter technology, Diehl Controls also offers a great variety of highly efficient drive systems.
The second focus, Smart Home, is the development and manufacture of highly innovative products for the future-oriented market of energy management. We consider the intelligent handling of energy the central step towards a future worth living. Highly flexible wireless energy management systems allow modern households to save significant amounts of energy while at the same time making considerable improvements in the area of comfort and safety.
