GRID

DSO requests metering information of total consumption and may send setpoints in case of high grid loads to EMS or device

METER

The Meter is providing the buildings’ total power consumption to the EMS / control box

EMS

The EMS receives power limitation setpoint from control box and dispatches available power to the corresponding devices according to the comfort preferences set by the end-customer

EVSE/EV

The EVSE/EV may be connected directly to the control box or through an EMS in case of multiple controllable devices such as PV and EV. The EV will be charged within the limits given by the DSO or the EMS. Through the option of power limitation, the EV user may get a higher connection capacity

HVAC

The HVAC may be connected directly to the control box or through an EMS in case of multiple controllable devices such as PV and heat pump. The heat pump will be operated within the limits given by the DSO or the EMS

PV Inverter / Battery

The PV Inverter / Battery may be connected directly to the control box or through an EMS in case of multiple controllable devices such as PV and EV / heat pump. The PV inverter or battery will provide grid support (e.g. P, Q) according to DSOs’ setpoint
