What?

The EEBUSummit 2026 focuses on digital interoperability as the foundation for a resilient, scalable and secure energy system. Across two days, the programme explores how standardisation, certification and cyber security enable trust and interoperability across increasingly decentralised energy systems. It also highlights how standards are translated into real-world applications – from installation and commissioning to the operation of heterogeneous devices, grid and flexibility use cases, and resilient system behaviour in critical scenarios.

FAQ

What is the EEBUSummit about?

The EEBUSummit is an event for exchange and networking regarding energy management related topics. This event is held once a year to give our members and other interested parties the possibility to meet and collect new insights and share their experience in the community. This year’s EEBUSummit focus is on the EEBUS solution for power limitation and § 14a in practice, the installation and commissioning process as well as other EEBUS solutions such as dynamic pricing and flexibility provision. The EEBUSummit covers two parts in parallel: one part are presentations on current topics and the second part is the Plugfest. The Plugfest gives the opportunity to test your devices with EEBUS implementation end to end.

What is the so-called Plugfest?

The Plugfest is an event where device manufacturers meet to test their current EEBUS implementation end to end. We will set up different test tables with devices from SMGWs to end device. You will be able to check, if your device is interoperable with other devices where EEBUS use cases are implemented like e.g. SMGW, EMS, inverters, charging stations, heat pumps, etc. Tests against test software will be also possible. In the end you will know, if the use case works as expected.

All test results will be documented.

Is there any limitation of participants per company?

As we have a limit of 200 people for the event. We kindly ask you to register with no more than 4 people per company.

Can the same registration link be used for multiple persons?

To collect the participants list, it is important that every person registers separately via the registration link.

What format of the EEBUSummit can I expect?

You can expect two days full of presentations, interactive sessions and discussions about the EEBUS solution for power limitation (according to § 14a) and other solutions and activities around EEBUS.

Is there any fee for the EEBUSummit?

The EEBUSummit participation is free of charge.

When can I expect an update of the agenda for my travel planning?

We are currently finalising the agenda. We will publish updates on the agenda via the EEBUSummit website. Please check the summit website from time to time.

Please note, that changes on the agenda content can be still made on short term. Focus topics and timings are fixed.

Will there be a separate invitation and registration for the Plugfest?

To be part of the Plugfest, please register for the EEBUSummit and indicate your interest in the Plugfest via the registration form. A separate questionnaire for the Plugfest will be send out after you registered for the EEBUSummit.

Which use cases will be tested on the Plugfest?

Via a questionnaire we will ask you which use cases you would like to test on the Plugfest. With this information, we try to coordinate that we will have compatible devices with the same use case available. If no device is available, it is possible to test against a test software.
